Join us for this semester’s LAST HONORS FORUM!

Most fiction presents a world broadly similar to our own, but science fiction and fantasy explore a much wider range of possibilities. Some works even go further by examining the very nature of “possible worlds” themselves.

在本次 「The Philosophical Import of Possible World Fiction: Four Categories」 講座中，Mahidol University International College 的 Nahum Brown 教授將帶領大家探索「可能世界小說（possible world fiction）」的概念，以及文學作品如何透過敘事與形式結構，呈現不同世界之間的關係。

本次講座將介紹四種類型的可能世界小說，包括另類歷史、時間旅行、多重宇宙，以及矛盾可能世界小說，並進一步探討這些類型背後的哲學預設，以及不同世界之間的互動方式。

講者Speaker:
Prof. Nahum Brown
Nahum Brown 教授現任於 Mahidol University International College，研究哲學、文學與「可能世界（possible worlds）」理論。他特別關注時間旅行、多重宇宙與虛構世界如何挑戰我們對「現實」的理解。
